Here is the long awaitd info on The American Open - June 20-22, 2003 in
Conneaut Lake, PA.
Variety of dance styles represented including - Bop, Lindy, West Coast
Swing, DC Hand Dancing, Stepping, Zydeco and more
AO will have multiple dance floors. Dances in Art Deco ballrooms.
Dance contests include one for each dance style represented (provided we
have enough contestants)+ Best of Show Division + The I Can Do That Jack
and Jill Division in which the style of dance isn't the most important
thing but good dancing is.
Discount hotel rooms at Hotel Conneaut are $63+tax. The Hotel Conneaut
was built in 1898. This vintage hotel keeps with tradition and has no
phones in the rooms. So bring your cell phone if you want to call home
once you check in. There are, also, lakeside cottages, camp grounds,
golf clubs and an 80 ride amusement park. AO attendees get discounted
rides at the amusement park. AO passholders get discounted meals at the
hotel restaurant. More treats to come.
