Hi,
It's been a few weeks since my last update on Artspectrum's different
events. So here's news about the latest doings.
The American Open
Join us for a reprise of this event in a new venue. The event will be
held at Conneaut Lake Park at Conneaut Lake in Pennsylvania. For those
of you who don't know CLP is an historical amusement park complete with
over 80 rides - one of which is a Blue Streak roller Coaster. Weekend
passes are $79 until May 5. Passholders may have discounted meals,
discounted rides and a discounted stay at the park's hotel. There are
other hotels a few miles away, camp grounds and lakeside cottages to
choose from too. Teachers include Tony Dunn (Stepping, DC Handdancing),
Jim Minty (West Coast), Marty Klempner and Valerie Salstrom (Balboa,
Lindy, Shag), Nathalie Gomes and Yuval Hod (Lindy) and more to come.
There will be multiple dance floors to choose from too. So join us for
fun in the sun and on the water. A registration form will be online
shortly. Meanwhile read up on the the teachers at
http://artspectrum.org. Click on the AO logo to event details.
The 6th American Lindy Hop Championships will happen once again in
Stamford, Connecticut Oct., 23-26, 2003. Registration forms are already
on line. Juniors get $10 off any of the 3 weekend passes. Weekend passes
this year are 3 day passes instead of 4. Thursday night will be used as
a fundraiser for scholarships. Don't fret though. If you register early
Thursday's comp viewing and parties may be added for a $1 if you are
purchasing a weekend pass. Dates for the early bird discounts may be
found on the website. http://artspectrum.org/alhc.htm. And if you are
part of a company that offers matching funds for contributions please
think of ALHC. We are trying to endow a series of scholarships. We need
you help to get them off the ground. A donation form can be found on the
back of the ALHC brochure.
Mark your calendars. The next Motor City Jam will be March 5-7, 2004.
And last but not least don't forget to check out the merchandise
available for sale on the website. http://artspectru.org/products.htm.
And as always if you ahve questions please feel free to call
313-790-2311 or write in-@artspectrum.org.
I wish you peace.
