INTERNET SECURITY - WHAT YOU CAN DO!
Virus attacks are increasing and you can help prevent them.
Apparently Windows Messenger is a big culprit. Do you know anyone who
is using it? Please help spread the word. Here's a link to the
tester.: http://www.mynetwatchman.com/winpopuptester.asp
Get the latest patches for your software at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=7

and find out about the latest viruses and use virus scanning
software.: http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/ and
http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp
You can also join a free email list from Microsoft to learn about
security updates.:
http://register.microsoft.com/subscription/subscribeme.asp?id=166
If you have a Mac, you're safe from most viruses, though you could
pass them on by sending an infected attachment. Your email address
could be used by the virus when it is picked up from a Windows user's
address book (anyone who may have your email address). When the virus
automatically sends the message, it may look as if you sent it. So
inform your friends so they'll clean up their computers and reduce
the likelihood of this problem.
