Jane Remington & Wilhelm Appenheimer, Chambersburg, Illinois.
1918: A.R. Appenheimer on detached duty with 77th Company occupying
front line trenches in Moulainville Sector with 1st Battalion, 5th
Marines, driving rations by night into second line trenches at Aix.
1919: A.R. Appenheimer at Quantico, Virginia, awaiting completion of
discharge paperwork. He records in his diary: "Rec'd Affidavits
today."
