I am absolutely thrilled to find this website. Anthony Remington is my
ggg grandfather. I am descended from Mary Winthrop Remington.
Many years ago, my uncle Jacob LaMar was contacted by a Remington
relative and given a copy of "The Remington Family Tree" by Helen Durbin
Faires, Daughter of Ella Appenheimer Durbin, granddaughter of Jane C.
Remington Appenheimer. I still have that copy. There are a few errors
in it regarding my line, but it has been very helpful, especially in
gathering my paperwork for membership in the DAR.
I wondered if anyone had any names/dates for the parents and beyond of
Anthony (1), and any info on either Hannah Otter or Wealtha Ann
Aldridge, Anthony (2) wife. I would like to get as much info and
documentation as possible. Given that Mary's middle name was Winthrop,
I am curious if that is a maiden name of one of the grandmothers.
