FOOTBALL FOR THE DOG
Rob Maher, 31, co-owner of Unleash Brooklyn, a doggy day care business
is offering football fans a deal. They can drop off their dogs while
they head out to watch their favorite team. "People may want to go out
to a bar, but they feel like they're neglecting (their dogs)," Maher
said. "They're happy to drop them off with us so they can play with
other dogs." And watch the game on a 92 inch projection screen. $25 for
an 8 hour Sunday of Games, Monday night game is $20 and the "season
pass" goes for $400.
WHO LEFT THE LIGHT ON ?
Mo Zhaoguang and his wife had arguments over who left the light on in
the barn. Finally, he decided to spend the night in the barn to find
out. It was his buffalo. He found his buffalo was pulling the cord
switch with its teeth. "It turns the light on to look for food or water
- and it also even turns it on and off to get our attention if its
trough is empty."

BARGAIN WEDDING
Colette Palin, 25, wanted to get married to Lee Clark. But the cost of a
lavish wedding seemed to be too much. But the Bukatree Hotel had a last
minute cancellation last week, so they put a wedding up for bid on Ebay.
The package included a red carpet arrival and champagne reception,
followed by a sit-down three-course meal plus wine for 35, and a
50-person evening buffet. Ms. Palin ended up winning the bid for $79 !
"Incredibly I got a call later on to say I had won and I couldn't
believe it. I was stunned that nobody went any higher."

SUPER SCOOBY
The Super Scooby is Britain's biggest burger. 3.3 pounds and 2,645
calories it includes four 1/4-pound beef patties, eight strips of bacon,
eight cheese slices, 12 onion rings, three sauces and a generous serving
of lettuce. "None of our customers have ever been disappointed by the
Super Scooby," he said. "We have never heard of a bigger one being
served up anywhere else and we are challenging any big eaters to come
along and finish one. If you can manage that then we'll give you a free
can of Diet Coke. I have never tried eating one myself but I'd struggle
to finish one half the size."

WHERE'S MY ROOF ?
David Fischer, 76, had to cut short his vacation when he was called to
be told his roof had been removed mistakenly. Bossler Roofing contacted
him to say the roof of his Breakers West house had mistakenly been
removed. Fischer said the company refused his demands to have the roof
finished free of charge. Bossler offered to finish the roof at a steep
discount -- Fischer would only have to pay his insurance deductible --
but Fischer said he does not believe he should have to pay at all.

43 STARS !
A San Antonio aquatics center said it has replaced its U.S. flag after
someone pointed out it had only 43 stars. "We assume that when you order
a flag or purchase a flag it has the 50 stars," NISD Aquatics Director
Scott Zolinski said. "We went on good faith that when you purchase the
item that it was the real thing." Allied Advertising, which replaced the
flag at no cost, said the flawed flag was created by a designer who is
no longer with the company.
