BAD MARRIAGE START
Brian Dykes, and Mindy McGhee are not starting off their marriage on a
good foot. The couple got married in a chapel in Pigeon Forge, TN. Then
about 1 a.m., an employee who stopped by to make sure the chapel was
secure discovered a door had been forced open and recognized the car in
the parking lot. The new couple had broken into the chapel and stole the
lock box with about $500 inside. They were arrested at a Denny's a
little later and admitted the theft. Now the honeymoon suite has bars.

HOLD IT DOWN OVER THERE
London's All Nations Center Pentacostal church has been told they need
to turn down the church's amplified sermons and hymns. Neighbors
complained and the city council determined the church was violating
noise ordinances.
CRAIG'S LIST WEDDING
Kerry Coryell posted an ad on Craigslist offering to trade services in
exchange for those who could help her pay for a wedding. What she ended
up with was a $75,000 extravagant wedding for free. It included being
married on the Brig Pilgrim wooden tall ship in Dana Point Harbor, with
flying doves, and a ride in a 1964 Princess Rolls Royce limousine. Then
Kerry changed into the second of two wedding gowns she received and
headed to Salt Creek Grille for a filet mignon reception for 100. The
couple paid nothing and most of the Orange County vendors who provided
services asked for nothing in return.

WIFE CARRYING
Dave and Lacey Castro came in first among 41 teams to win Saturday’s
North American Wife Carrying Championship at Sunday River ski resort in
Newry, Maine, this past weekend. They covered the 278-yard course in
54.45 seconds. The couple won 97-pound Lacey Castro’s weight in beer and
five times her weight in cash ($485.) They now are eligible for the
International event in Finland next July.

MOWER DUI
A Greenville County, South Carolina has been charged with DUI after
pulling up to a Jack In The Box drive thru to order a meal on a lawn
mower. An employee called the cops who found the man a little while
later.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Parents of kids in elementary schools in the county of Cork in Ireland
are being asked to include a different kind of school supply. Toilet
paper, to help the schools save money. "The letter was sent out just as
a way of balancing books here in the school and not intended as a
demand," said Catherine O'Neill, principal at St John's Girls National
School.

SECOND HONEYMOON HELP
The Malaysian state of Terengganu is offering free second honeymoons for
couples on the brink of divorce. Struggling couples will spend three
days and two nights on one of the tropical islands off Terengganu state.
They have to make an application and then undergo an interview before
being accepted for the package which is worth an estimated $440 dollars.

An 11-year-old girl, Grace Bedell, wrote to presidential candidate
Abraham Lincoln urging him to grow a beard in 1860. “All the ladies like
