that hold you back
HEAVY SLEEPER
Firefighters were called to a house fire in Pittsburgh. They fought th e
blaze for 2 hours and were unable to get into the house because of a
collapsed roof during the fire to evacuate anyone. After fighting the
blaze for 2 hours and putting it out they did a walk through and were
"flabbergasted" to find a man who'd slept through the entire incident
inside the home.

PIE AUCTION
1,090,000 frozen fruit pies are up for auction on EBAY. The pies were
originally set for delivery for a supermarket chain, but the order was
canceled, so they were put up for bid on EBAY. Bidding reached $680
Monday with nearly nine days left in the eBay auction. "This is quite
possibly the most bizarre and largest thing we have ever had to sell,"
said Luke Schonenberger, e-commerce manager for Pressplay. "Most of us
think it will make people laugh and it will be a 10-day auction and
we're hoping for a bit of a bidding frenzy."
HYPNOTIC BUST
David Knight claims women can enlarge their bust by up to two cup sizes
by undergoing hypnosis. Of course the British hypnosis entertainer wants
you to buy his cd and he claims an 85% success rate based on customer
feedback. He said: "Every lady's breasts have been grown by the mind.
The mind grows it, so the mind can enhance it. Fact." He even offers a
money back guarantee.

50 JOBS, 50 STATES
Daniel Seddiqui of Skokie, ILL. has finished his quest to work in every
state in the union. He worked as a dietician, which he enjoyed because
he was helping people. He says being a cheese maker was the toughest
job. "Try bending over the vats, shoveling out 40 pounds of cheese for
two hours straight," he said. He worked at a Vegas chapel and din't like
it. "People were getting married for 50 bucks at the drive-through.
They'd ask me what date it was -- on their own wedding day," he said.

THIS IS ART ?
The Turbine Hall art gallery in London has unveiled a new piece if
"art." It's vast metal container containing no light whatsoever. In
other words, darkness. All light vanishes as soon as visitors venture a
few feet inside. Polish artist Miroslaw Balka, said the darkness in his
creation is a metaphor for life. "Sometimes you meet a person who seems
strange to you at first but then you get to know them and they become
your friend," he said. This is the same art gallery that a few years ago
had a huge crack in the floor, which was built to illustrate how issues
such as racism and poverty were causing fractures in society.

NO SMOKING AT WORK
A Canadian truck driver was given a ticket by a police officer who saw
the 48-year-old trucker driving on a highway in south-western Ontario
with a cigarette in his mouth. The Smoke-Free Ontario Act, adopted in
2006, prohibits smoking in an enclosed workplace or enclosed public
area, and that extends to work vehicles. The fine is $305, Canadian.
