PILLOW ASSAULT
Erik Batty, 40, was arrested in Edgewater, FL> after throwing a pillow
at a police officer during an argument with his father. The officer
called the pillow a "biohazard" because Eric apparently also suffered
from medical issues. He faces assault charges.

WHERE'S THE HITCHING POST ?
William Schellinger was cited by Washakie County law enforcement
officers for allowing his horse to run at large in this Wyoming city. He
was at a bar early Sunday. He'd gotten there on his horse and parked it
outside when the horse wandered off. Mr. Schellinger gave the cops a
piece of his mind for the citation and especially because there were no
hitching posts on the street.

"SWIFT ACTION" FROM THE GOVERNATOR
Arnold Schwarzanegger promised "swift action" against his wife, Maria
Shriver after TMZ.com published photos of her behind the wheel talking
on a her cell phone. That's a no no in California where the Governor
signed a hands free bill just this past summer. So what's the "swift
action" promised by the governor? Spokesman Aaron McLear says that by
``swift action,'' the governor means he'll ask his wife not to hold the
phone while driving.

SMELL YOUR KID
Police in Slidell, Lousiana are looking for some thieves who stole
$1,000 worth of candy and five cases of soda and sports drinks from a
stand at John Slidell Park. They're asking parents to keep an eye out
for students selling lots of candy, but also if they smell like
jalapenos or pickles. While inside, the thieves ate dill pickles and
poured pickled jalapenos around the stand.

SPLASH ME !
Kerry Callard is facing reckless driving charges in Plymouth, England
after she posted a video on You Tube and Facebook showing her purposely
swerving into a puddle to splash some kids standing on the side of a
road. She claims the kids were asking her to do it. A friend in the car
video taped the splashing. "The kids were actually calling to us to
splash them," she said. "They were having fun in the bad weather. The
fun factor is mostly gone from life these days but they were playing in
puddles, like kids always have done. If the kids weren't saying 'Splash
me, splash me,' I certainly wouldn't have done it. I'm not a serial
splasher."
DEER TACKLE
Brandon Hiles,7, and his friends were playing a game of backyard
football when he got tackled.....By a deer.... The boy says the buck ran
at him and flipped him with its horns, leaving bruises and a gash.
Police there were actually two bucks in the area gearing for a fight,
and Brandon was attacked when he inadvertently got between them.
