Belgian musician who invented the saxophone in the mid 1800s. While he
was accorded great fame and fortune for his musical inventions, Sax's

THE 950th TIME IS THE CHARM
Cha Sa-soon, 68, finally passed the written drivers test in Seoul S.
Korea. She's been trying nearly daily since since Apr. of 2005, a total
of 950 times ! During her quest she spent about $4200 in application
fees. Now she has to pass the driving test...

OJ 911
Raibin Raof Osman, 20, is in trouble for improper use of 911 after he
called to report that a McDonald's in Aloha, Ore. had left out a box of
orange juice from his drive-through order.

YOU HIT WHAT ?
Bill Carpenter was driving his SUV along a county road in Oklahoma when
he had an accident, colliding with an ELEPHANT ! The 29-year-old
elephant escaped from the Family Fun Circus at the Garfield County
Fairgrounds and ran across the road where they collided head on. Bill
and his wife weren't injured. The pachyderm suffered a broken tusk and
hurt leg, but otherwise escaped major injury. The elephant’s tusk tore a
hole in the SUV’s sheet metal. The insurance report should be
interesting.

PUNKIN CHUNKIN
The 24th annual world Punkin Chunkin contest is this weekend in
Bridgeville, Del. Inventors use compressed air cannons to hurl their
punkins as far as they can. Last years winner was 21 year old Jake
Burton. He and his team shot a pumkin more than 4,483 feet.

WHERE'S YOUR HOMEWORK
Cops in Woonsocket, RI. have one 15 year old's homework. They found it
in a school near the high school that had been broken into. The two 15
year old's had skipped school to do the break in when one of their
papers, with his name on it, fell from his backpack.

TOY HALL OF FAME
We have some new inductees into the Toy Hall of Fame in Rochester, NY.
Along with the Big Wheel and the Game Boy video device, the Strong
National Museum of Play in Rochester chose the ball on Thursday to join
its all-star lineup of 41 classics. Creativity is key for a toy to be
inucted as well as longevity. Each toy must also foster learning,
creativity or discovery through play.
