Tell Arnold to Stop the Fundraising.
Last week Schwarzenegger said: "I have never seen anyone come up to me and say, 'Governor, please stop the fundraising.'" (LA Times, February 25, 2005)
This is a far cry from Arnold's promise to Californians when he announced his candidacy: "I will go to Sacramento and I will clean house. I don't have to take money from anybody. I have plenty of money."
Since then he has raised $40 million - an average of $80,000 a day. That's twice as much as Gray Davis, who Arnold replaced for being a cash register politician.
Now, the governor says he will raise another $50 million from big industry donors this year.
But Arnold doesn't think people care that he says one thing and does another.
