A convention of pro-tenants activists met today in Berkeley to select a
pro-tenant slate for the Berkeley Rent Stabilization Board. Three
candidates were nominated:

Maxwell Anderson, incumbent member running for a second four-year term and
former member of the city planning commission;
Matthew Siegel, tenant lawyer and former shop steward for the Rent Board staff;
Judi Ann Alberti, longtime community activist.

They join Paul Hogarth, a UC Berkeley student who was nominated at a
separate student meeting before the academic year ended.

The four candidates will be supported in their election campaign by

The Committee to Defend Affordable Housing

Campaign contributions may be made out to 'CDAH'.
