Re: Recent break-ins on Glenview and 29th Streets!  George Bronner

Have you contacted our police liaison? It is ESSENTIAL that you do so. I
believe his name is David Crowder. If you do not have his email, let me
know and I can get it to you. He's a nice guy and really responsive.

Do NOT let this go unreported! We've been fighting a rash of small
burglaries and other crimes for years. If the police know something's going
on, they'll commit more resources and patrol more often.

Also, encourage your neighbors to turn on any outside lights they have. Our
neighborhood is extremely dark, which is one of the reasons we're hit so
often.

Below are 2 email sent to me. Note that the break-ins occurred within
close proximity to each other Please help keep an eye on watch for

Sunday Dec 17th - I wanted to let you know that I have been the victim
of three car break-ins this year. I live at 3104 Glenview and park on
the street as I do not have a garage. I was hit in January, again a
month later and then again this past Sunday... I wanted to let you know
so that you could warn neighbors especially those who have to park on
the street, that thieves are in a neighborhood and breaking into cars
looking for ipods left between the seats, music and any type of gifts.

Wednesday Dec 20th - We had a break in to our garage (1516 W. 29th)
this afternoon / early evening (Wednesday, between 5:00 - 6:00pm). The
garage is detached and padlocked, they took multiple large items
(lawnmower, edger, ladder, circular saw), while someone was home with a
car in the driveway. Very brazen. There was construction / yard work
in the block at the same time, and believe workers were the likely
source.
