Our Refuge GIS Specialist vacancy was just posted on USAJOBS today (see the
links below). This GS-9/11 position is in the Refuge Planning Branch,
which is located in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (Service) Pacific
Southwest Regional Office, Sacramento, California. The Refuge GIS
Specialist will provide geographic information systems (GIS) and remote
sensing support for Region 8 NWRS field stations and conservation planning
efforts. Responsibilities include: coordination and implementation of NWRS
GIS and remote sensing projects; development of cartographic products for
conservation planning and other efforts; implementation of data standards;
and technical support, assistance, and training for Region 8 NWRS field
stations.
