Hello Everyone,
The latest on WIMS, the Weed Information Management System, is...
- there is now a WIMS website at http://tncweeds.ucdavis.edu/wims.html. This
is where you can get the latest stable version, 2.1b.
- there is now a WIMS Message Board at http://ice.ucdavis.edu/wims/ where
you can go to find out what is happening with upgrades and what the latest
plans and changes are, get the beta version (3.0e), and people can talk to
each other and/or the developers. You should register if you think you'll be
a repeat visitor, and you will be notified of new postings in the forums you
want to keep updated on. The WIMS Development Team uses this BB (in a
restricted section) to do its collaborative work.
- 3.0 is in the process of being perfected, and offers many new features.
See the WIMS BB for more information on those features, but they include
referential integrity, more ability to store project management data, and a
new treatment called revegetation (the fields for which are still being
debated!).
