The Calflora Map Viewer can now display
GAP project polygons indicating Holland plant comunity
as an optional background.
The idea is this: When you are using the map viewer to see points
where a particular species was observed, you can turn on the GAP
polygons to get a sense of the immediate environment around those points.
Here are some examples:

Another similar feature we are working on is the ability to show
a polygon representing the area within which a checklist was compiled.
For example, if someone has submitted a checklist for a
particular state park, this would mean showing the area of the state park.
