Pyrus calleryana invasive in Central Valley?  Elizabeth Brusati
 Nov 04, 2009 16:12 PST
Has anyone observed Pyrus calleryana (flowering pear or Callery pear)
becoming invasive in the Central Valley (or elsewhere in the state)? We
received a report of it from someone who's seen it spreading around
drainages near preserves in the Central Valley but I have no other
information on it in California. The online Jepson database doesn't list
it. USDA PLANTS lists it in the East and South of the US.
