rock snot in California  Elizabeth Brusati

This is a freshwater algae with the scientific name of /Didymosphenia
geminata/, common name didymo or "rock snot". Cal-IPC received an
inquiry on it from someone who has seen in on the Trinity River. Lars
Anderson with USDA/UC Davis says it is known to be in several other
sites but I don't have any other information - do any of you on
CalWeedTalk know of other locations where it occurs in California?
