SurvivalRing Website Issues...another day, another hacker

Hi Friends,
Things have been going smoothly for the most part the last few months with
the SurvivalRing website network. We have had a few problems with hackers
(not just us, but many people and many websites affected on the same web
host server, or servers, that our sites are on), creating spam problems,
adding hidden spam code, and the like since mid August.
This afternoon, it happened again, with the server my site (host98) being
hit first, by a group of hackers calling themselves V4. They used automated
tools, once in the server, to overwrite tens of thousands of index pages, in
thousands of sites, including over 100 folders in my site.
I'm been able to get it for a bit, and see exactly what the damage is...and
for my part, it is fixable. However, the host98 server will be up and down
for the next day or so as they repair, and resecure the server computer, and
give site owners like myself access back to start the repairs, over the next
few days.
My apologies for any access issues, and be aware I am doing a LOT of new
uploads, upgrades, and new site functions for SurvivalRing. In the last week
I've uploaded over 4 gig of new PDF files, including ALL HAZARD files, nuke
prep files, rad detector files, field manuals, and much more.
Several new site functions including review sites, ebusiness, the new forums
at www.survivalring.org/SR_forums, and much more are online and working,
waiting for me to get the content going.

suggestions, and bear with us as we try to stay ahead of the kiddie hackers
of the world.
