The next meeting of Colorado Women In Technology will be May 24 at Dolan's
in Boulder.
Lyn Bain of Chili Interactive will present:
Interactionary: Product Design
People buy products that meet their needs and are easy to use. The product
must have the right features and be offered at the right price. So, what
steps do design teams have to go through to come up with the right product?
Lyn Bain will lead the participants through an Interactionary design
competition (in a non-competitive way!) in which teams will be given
high-level requirements for a product that they will design in 30 minutes;
the session is intended to be fun and highly interactive. Typically, one
of the more interesting results with a group like CWIT is the discussion of
product design and development issues between women from a wide variety of
backgrounds. Most successful products come from multidisciplinary teams
who learn how to communicate about and respect these varied perspectives!

The meeting will start at 6:30PM with networking, hors d'oeuvres, and
drinks. The presentation will start at 7:30. Please note we need to
receive registration and payment by mail by May 17.

The cost for this meeting is $25 dollars. We pay for everyone we tell them

Lyn Bain of Chili Interactive has 16 years of experience in product
design. With a Master's degree in Psychology, she applies what she knows
about how people learn, think, and remember to the design of products that
are intuitive and easy to use. Lyn has been awarded 3 patents and several
industry or trade show nominations and awards for innovative product
designs. She specializes in discovering the right product requirements,
making the trade offs between the goals of the business against the needs
of the user, and creating simple solutions for complex design problems.
