Clearwater IBD User Group Meeting with speaker Martin Pring

One of our club members, Ken Conklin, asked me to pass this upcoming
Clearwater meeting to the club:
On Wednesday evening, January 24, 2007, Martin Pring will speak to the
Investors Business Daily Clearwater Meetup group. As you know, he is
one of the foremost authorities in the world on the topic of technical
analysis. His topic will be:
Identifying and Interpreting One and Two Bar Price Patterns for More
Profitable Trading
One and two bar patterns indicate dramatic short-term changes in
psychology and therefore price trends. Since they take into
consideration highs and lows Martin feels that for many people they
offer better and more reliable signals than candlesticks. They certainly
offer signals close to turning points and allow the realistic close
placement of stops which limits risk. Patterns covered will include,
outside bars, inside bars, two bar reversals, and Pinocchio bars. These
patterns only have short-term significance, but when they appear in the
charts with the right conjugation of indicators they often develop at
major turning points. Martin will explain how to recognize such juncture
points.
TIME AND LOCATION
Mr. Pring will speak from 7:30 to 8:30 with a question and answer
session following. Introductions will be at 7:15. Hors D'oeuvres will
be served starting at 6:30. Mr. Pring will have materials of his
available for purchase.
The program will be held at the Radisson Clearwater Central Hotel
located at 20967 US Highway 19 North, Clearwater. The hotel is located
just north of the Clearwater Mall on the east side of Highway 19 on the

RESERVATIONS AND COST
Call (727) 822-9393 for reservations to this event. Seating will be
limited so reservations will be on a first made basis. If you call
after normal business hours, please leave your name and telephone
number. We also suggest that you call back the next day to confirm your
reservation.
The cost of the program including Hors D'oeuvres will be $20. Cash only
will be accepted as we do not have facilities to handle checks or credit
cards.
