KEEP UP THE PRESSURE FOR A SANE CUBA POLICY
[From several organizations]
Public pressure works! The "Cuban Five" were released from solitary
confinement in early April 2003 because of messages in protest from the
public. Take action to free the Cuban Five, to stop Bush's new
aggressions against Cuba, and to support a sane Cuba policy:

Background on the Cuban Five
------------------------------------
Five Cuban men are in U.S. prison -- sentenced to terms of 15 years to
life -- for defending Cuba from terrorist acts by extremist right-wing
groups in Miami, while the anti-Cuba extremists they tried to monitor
live in freedom in Miami. Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon
Labanino, Rene Gonzalez, and Fernando Gonzalez monitored the terrorists'
actions and informed Cuba of impending attacks by the extremist groups.
Anti-Cuban right-wing groups in Miami have engaged in countless
terrorist activities against Cuba, Cuban-Americans, and those who call
for a normalization of relations between Cuba and the United States.
The five Cubans were convicted in U.S. federal court on June 8, 2001 in
a politically charged trial: The U.S. government claimed they were
engaged in espionage on U.S. military bases and threatened "national
security." In 14,000 pages of transcripts, no evidence of espionage was
introduced.
