The arhcaeology of food and wine will be the topic at the CHSC program
this Saturday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. in the Mark Taper Auditorium at the
Central Library.
Lynn Alley, a freelance food and wine writer with a passionate
interest in culinary traditions, will be the speaker.
Lynn has written two books: “Lost Arts: A Celebration of Culinary
Traditions” and “The Gourmet Slow Cooker: One Pot Meals from Around the World” and
is a frequent contributor to the Wine Spectator online and the Wine Spectator.
She has also written the introduction to a new reprint of the 1944
bread history cult classic “Six Thousand Years of Bread: Its Holy and Unholy
History.”
Dan Strehl, who was scheduled for Saturday will speak at a later date.
