Our first fall program will be on September 11 at 10:30, in the Mark
Taper Auditorium, as usual.
Dr. H. Vincent Moses, Director of the Riverside Museum, will present an
illustrated lecture "Ain't Sunkist sweet? The California Fruit Growers
Exchange, the California Dream, and the Shaping of American Tastes,
1912-1980".
He will describe Southern California in the heyday of the citrus
enterprise, and will elaborate on the advertising employed by the
Sunkist cooperative to boost orange sales around the country.
