The 10th annual Charles Perry lecture will be this Saturday, January
8th, at 10:30 in the Central Library’s Mark Taper Auditorium. “Bluebird
Cafeteria and Pink Rat Café, Los Angeles Dining in the 1920's” is the
title of Mr. Perry’s talk, and we are sure it will be enlightening and
possibly amusing.
It’s been a quick ten years since his first lecture for us in the fall
of 1995 when he spoke on “The Eggplant in Ninth Century Baghdad”. Our
group was small then, but it has blossomed to a great size since then.
See you there.
