FOR "TIME OUT" ON EXECUTIONS

Meet at noon on May 1, 2003 in front of the County Courthouse (9th and H
Street) to gather for the march to the Capitol building. Bring signs
and banners. Clergy are requested to wear robes.
12:30-1:30PM: Rally on the North Steps of the Capitol

Speakers include: Actor and human rights activist Mike Farrell,
(M*A*S*H, Providence); Actor James Cromwell (The Green Mile, The Sum of
All Fears); Greg Wilhoit, exonerated death row inmate; Darrell
Steinberg, California Assembly; Nick and Amanda Wilcox, whose teenage
daughter was murdered but have chosen to oppose the death penalty for
her murderer; Aundre Herron, Staff Attorney at the California Appellate
Project, comedian, and murder victim family member.
Over 165,000 petition signatures will be delivered to the governor.
Free buses to the event are filling up. Make your reservation by calling

Oakland: MacArthur BART station -- 9:15 a.m.
San Rafael: Location TBA -- 9:15 a.m.
Petaluma: Location TBA -- 9:45 a.m.
Buses will depart Sacramento for the return trip at 2 p.m.
