Hi all
I've updated the http://delia-derbyshire.dyndns.org site again, with
track listings for Amor Dei, further info about the music from two of
the films (Work Is A Four Letter Word and Legend of Hell House) and a
stunning new photo has crawled out of the woodwork.
That emptied my Delian TODO list for this year, but I'd like to ask
whether anyone has any leads on two other pieces.
One is the music for the TV play Oh Fat White Woman. The director
Philip Saville says he remembers Delia well, and that the music she
produced was beautiful, but he no longer has a copy of it (!)
The other is a passing mention of an unknown piece that I've been
unable to follow up:
Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone, Sunday 12 June 2005, 1700-2000 on BBC
Radio 6 has on its track listing
Oh, Dear What Can The Matter Be? (Delia Derbyshire)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/freakzone/tracklisting_20050612.shtml
but this is the only reference I have seen to this piece and Mr
Maconie has never replied to email.
Has anyone else ever heard of this piece? Is it for real or maybe a mistake?
Bless
M
