Arts Curator is a brand new service dedicated to the creation and
provision of online art solutions for artists and art collectors in the

offer, but you can check it out for yourselves at
<http://www.artscurator.co.uk/>.
* Mobile Phones Advice *
The Nordic Forum for Telecommunication and Disability (NFTH) has
published a “Handbook on choosing mobile phones for people with
disabilities”
.
It is available in English for download from the NFTH website at
<http://www.nsh.se/nfth_English.htm#Publications>
* Recruiting and employing disabled staff *
Sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry, this site offers
comprehensive advice on the law in relation to the employment of
Disabled People. The definition of disability in the opening paragraph
is pretty nifty as well.

+++ * Superman won’t fly no more *
... as you will all know by now. Although we didn’t get along too well
with some of his views, there is no doubt that Christopher Reeve’s
superhero lives in the memories of generations, and that he became a
huge inspiration for many disabled people.
“I was one of the kids who grew up with the image of Superman. I watched
all the Superman movies and felt that he was a hero even if he didn't
exist. As I grew older I still looked upon Superman and Chris Reeves as
people to look up to when I had to make a hard decision. Even as other
comic book heros 'went bad', Superman was always the shinning light. So
in closing, thank you Mr Reeves for giving me someone to look up to.
When I have kids, I will show them the Superman movies in the hope that
they will get that image too” (Sean Henderson, Victoria, Canada)
“Up... Up... Away... Bye Superman... We'll miss you” (Victor Ilyas
Sugara, Jakarta, Indonesia)

* Potential: Dance and Disabled People Email Updates *
Potential is the Foundation for Community Dance's programme of work
focused on dance and disabled people. One of the aims within this
programme is to provide information and support to artists, arts
organisations and venues nationally. They hope that an effective way to
do this regularly is via email updates.
These email updates are intended to keep people up to date and connected
to opportunities, events, activities and strategic developments relating
to dance and disabled people and will act as a regular mechanism for
information exchange. In order to keep this information flow as useful
as possible, the Foundation for Community Dance need to know of activity
that is taking place around the country. They are aiming to produce
updates monthly and will do their best to include information submitted,
however from time to time it may need to be edited for reasons of style,
content or space.
This is a free service. If you would like to receive these updates then
register your interest by emailing poten-@communitydance.org.uk.
Please send information to be included in future updates to
emi-@communitydance.org.uk.
