* Southampton Centre for Independent Living: Open Invitation *

Southampton Centre for Independent Living (SCIL) think that “for a
number of years now, BCODP (British Council of Disabled People) has
found its own existence and agenda more important and has not been
accountable to the rest of the Movement nor provided the sort of
leadership that makes us stronger in unity.”
They are now calling BCODP to account and asking Disabled People to
engage in a debate about the state of our Movement and its future.

“The Disabled People's Movement-where to now?” will take place on
Saturday 27 November 2004, 11am-4pm, at Nottingham Royal Moat House,
Hampton & Windsor Suite, Wollaton Street, Nottingham, NG1 5RH.

For further information please contact SCIL on Tel. 023 8033 0982 or
