A Little Push Needed
As we begin the new project in Grand Goave there will be special challenges
that will go along with it. One of those challenges will be working on the
road leading up to the site. The new site will be on top on a hill
overlooking the town below. It is a beautiful view and will provide plenty
of space to grow and raise some of our own food.
It is also more rural than the site in Jacmel. As you can see though it
takes a little effort to get a vehicle up there. It's not far off the main
road but the short trip up is steep and the rain running off the mountain
has left many ruts that need to be fixed. That along with electricity are
things we will have to consider and plan for as we begin this new project.
Nicaragua
The Hands And Feet Project is currently looking into building a children's
home in Nicaragua. Jaime and Teresa Sotomeyer, the parents of Christian
musician T-Bone, just moved there on Aug 25,2009.
The Sotomeyers will be looking into this possibility while they help with a
local church and a feeding program. If needed, the Hands And Feet project
hopes to construct and staff a site like the one we have in Jacmel, Haiti.
The Hands And Feet Project
Our Mission:
The Hands and Feet Project exists to care for orphans and abandoned children
of the world with the love of Christ.
Our Vision:
To raise a generation of orphans who will grow into men and women who will
have a relationship with Christ and be leaders in their communities. It is
also our vision to give people from our country the chance to experience the
mission field and therefore be changed for the better.
