DEAR FAITHFUL PARTNERS, AUGUST, 2009
Greetings in His precious Name. We really thought after 50 years of marriage
and 40 years as missionaries in Brazil that we would be able to slow down
some. But that is not the case! We are probably busier now then we’ve ever
been. We are not complaining but just praying for good health so we can
maybe go another 20 years. The Lord has been very good to us and we praise
Him for your prayers and partnership in this ministry.
Since our last newsletter in early April we have made 6 (April, May, two in
June, July and August) Amazon Boat Ministry trips and have treated hundreds
of individuals. Five new village churches (Project Amazon: Christ, Life and
Health) are in the process of being constructed. God is rising up more
village leaders for these churches and they are being trained by our
Brazilian missionaries who work in the São Sebastião Region. After a visit
from a couple representing “Living Water” and giving a few days of training
on how to build water filters, we are almost ready to begin another needed
project to help the people that live in Amazon villages where we are
working.
Thanks to so many of you who either sent cards or attended our 50/40
Celebration July 25. There were over 300 that came and all of our children
and grandchildren were there as well as all of our brothers and sisters and
many other family members. (See pictures on our website).
Marlon was also present and has been visiting supporting C.B.M. churches in
Ohio, Indiana and Virginia this last month and meeting with their ministers
and mission team. He will be returning sometime next year to visit other
supporting churches.
The new medical boat, after a few months of getting everything in order, is
now being constructed. The construction crew supervised by our Captain
Pacheco was able to begin this big project in July. We would like to have
the new boat ready for operation by early next summer. We still need your
prayers and financial support for this project. There will be new pictures
of the construction on our website each month so you can accompany the
progress.
We are very grateful for your partnership but please don’t forget to pray
for us and all the different ministry projects of our mission. (A page of
pictures is attached to this letter).
We continue with your partnership and with much LOVE…
Working For A Greater Harvest,
Earl and Ruth Anne
