I just drained the tank to empty, added 4 gals, leveled the Fuse and
painted a red line.....that's my "get on the ground in the next 15-20
minutes line!

Hi-
Question for you Fishnetters that opted to do a simple float gas gauge
for the tank immediately ahead of the pilot: How did you achieve any
visual measure indications, half full, three quarters, whatever? The
device is basically a piece of stiff wire coming up through a tube
soldered into the gas cap, located in a place where you can see it, but
how did anyone mark the wire for various quantities? My tech counselor
is suggesting just marking the windshield while sitting in the cockpit,
a mark for full, half, etc., the mark being on the windshied itself.
Haven't figured out if I like that idea or not, and am open to other
suggestions. Thanks for the ideas.
