Carl Twofeathers Whitaker to announce candidacy for Governor
On Saturday January 8th 2005 in the City of Crossville,Carl Twofeathers
Whitaker will officially announce his candidacy for the office of the Governor
of the state of Tennessee.Carl Twofeathers Whitaker will be the candidate of
the Independent America First Party of Tennessee. Chairman James D. Jones and
other members of the party will be present at the announcement in support of
their party's candidate.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker is the father of five grown children and
grandfather of nine.He is employed in sales and also serves as a paralegal
consultant.His wife ,Cindy Whitaker is an assistant manager of a large retail chain.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker ran for Governor of Tennessee in 2002 and came in
fourth out of eighteen candidates.He ran with little financial backing yet
came in fourth. This time he will have a campaign manager and increased backing.
People will soon know he means business. Major issues of concern include
Tenn Care, illegal aliens, ,jobs, workman's compensation, hunger and poverty.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker believes that the people of Tennessee cannot
afford to fund health care for one- fourth of the state population while funding
for education suffers.Tenn Care must include monthly premiums based on income
and CO-payments for doctor and hospital visits as well as prescriptions.Tenn
Care fraud must be stopped and violators prosecuted.
Many of our people here in the state experienced early layoffs and job
termination's, companies closed and left the state. No one stepped in to help
keep these factories and try to save peoples jobs.Carl Twofeathers Whitaker will
work with employers to keep them in our state while making the recruitment
of new companies a top priority.
Illegal Aliens in this state. In Tennessee this problem of illegal aliens is
out of control.Instead of working with the Federal Government to remove these
illegals from this state, this administration gives out ID's, food stamps
and allows the laws to be broken day after day.That is a crime in it's self.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker will enforce all laws that deal with illegals and
prosecute anyone who employ's any illegals.The law is clear on this and it is
NOT optional!
While millionaires set in Nashville eating good meals,sleeping in their warm
beds. Many children and their parents go with little or no food. Sometimes
no heat. Food banks across the state have shut down due to lack of food
donations. This will continually get worse as manufactureing and other jobs leave
our state, heading to Mexico, China and other third world countries. Carl
Twofeathers believes that NO families in this state should ever go hungry. Carl
will work with the Family Services across the state to monitor such
situations.
Taxes, NO NEW TAXES and a TAX BREAK for the seniors sixty five years or
older.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker, will take a strong stand for all Tennessee
Veterans. Proposing that a Veterans Ombudsman be appointed and a web site created,
where all Veterans can either call or receive information, via internet, that
will answer all their concerns. Mr. Whitaker will object to removing or non
funding of any and all Veteran Programs, State or Federal.
Prisons, not enough staff to man these prisons.The guards at these prisons
are being treated unfairly.They are being over worked and pushed to the
limit.Over twenty five percent of the guards quit each year to get better pay and
working conditions.Carl Twofeathers Whitaker will take time to listen to these
guards and take action to help improve conditions and seek better pay for
the guards.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker believes that the great state of Tennessee should
be a leader in our nation instead having among the worst environment, the
worst education, and the worst of too much. Basic Education and Tennessee
History, must once again be taught. The present road we are taking is the wrong road
and it is time to get back on the right road to a better future.
Carl Twofeathers Whitaker makes this promise. He will work for the people of
this great state of Tennessee.And will up hold the Constitution of the United
States and enforce all state and federal laws.This is the South and this is
Tennessee.Be proud of your state.
