Season two of Joey premieres Thursday, September 22 on NBC in the US.

Anita Barone - the original Carol on Friends and Michael Rappaport who

at Home," a witty, irreverent half-hour comedy about a husband and wife
who constantly battle with their three teenage kids to keep them in
line.  Starring Michael Rapaport ("Hitch," "Boston Public," "Friends"),
Anita Barone ("Daddio," "The Jeff Foxworthy Show"), Dean Collins ("Jack
& Bobby," "MADtv"), Kaylee DeFer ("The Mountain") and Kyle Sullivan

Quotes From The Actors and Actresses

1. "God, I loved 'Joanie Loves Chachi'. We didn't have a VCR, so I used
to sit by the TV with a tape recorder and then go to sleep singing with
the theme song." Jennifer Aniston, on her fondness for sitcoms as a kid,
to W magazine.

2. "Before David, I liked cleaner lines. All of a sudden, David comes in
with his collection of extra-large shoes, marionettes, puppets, lunch
boxes and mailboxes-that changed everything," Courteney Cox Arquette, on
the decor of her L.A. home since she wed David Arquette in 1999, to
Movieline.

3. "We'll spend the whole day at work and then get out and go get
something to eat," said Cox in People magazine. "And I say, 'What are we
doing? We should split up and go somewhere else. Let's see some other
people.' But we don't."

4. "It's a great gig for me. It's closer and often better than a regular
9-to-5. I get to take my son to school and have dinner with him," said
Lisa Kudrow to People.

5. Jennifer Aniston on costar Courteney Cox Arquette during her
"Primetime Live" interview, "She does not know how gorgeous she is--she
has no clue. And I'm not talking physical, because that's right there in
your face when you see it. It's all the way through."

Friends Quotes

Chandler Bing: "You have to stop the Q-Tip when there's resistance."

Ross Geller: "You know how at the end of the day, you throw your jacket
over a chair?"
Joey Tribbiani: "Yeah?"
Ross Geller: "Well at her place, instead of a jacket, it's a pile of
garbage. And instead of a chair, it's a pile of garbage. And instead of
the end of the day, it's the end of time, and garbage is all that has
survived."

Rachel: You gotta come with me!
Phoebe: Come where?
Rachel: Wherever I go! Come on! You and me. We'll... we'll start a new
group! We're the best ones!
Phoebe: Okay, but try and get Joey, too.
"The One With The Kips"

Monica: What's the matter?
Chandler: Someone on the subway licked my neck!
Licked my neck!
Phoebe: Oh, Willy's still alive!
"The One With The Engagement Picture"

Rachel Green: "Hey, just so you know: it's *not* that common, it
*doesn't* "happen to every guy," and it *is* a big deal!"

(After Monica's Bad Haircut)
Ross Geller: "How's Monica?"
Phoebe Buffay: "She's calmed down a bit. I put a clip on one side, which
seems to have stopped the curling."
Ross Geller: "How's the hair?"
Phoebe Buffay: "I'm not gonna lie to you Ross. It doesn't look good."
Joey Tribbiani: "Can we see her?"
Phoebe Buffay: "No, your hair looks too good. I think it would only
upset her."
Rachel Green: "Oh."
Phoebe Buffay: "Ross, you can go on in."

Joey Tribbiani: "Just tell him Joey sent you. He'll know what it means."
Chandler Bing: "Gee, I don't know. Do you think he'll be able to crack
your code?"

Monica Geller: "Oh my god. How cute is the new eye doctor?"
Rachel Green: "So cute I'm thinking about jamming this pen in my eye."

Chandler: "Yeah. Hey, here's an idea, why don't we use our wedding china

today? "
Monica: "No, I think we should save our china for something really
special. Like if the Queen of England comes over."
Chandler: "Honey, she keeps canceling on us. Take the hint."
Monica: "What if something gets broken? They're so expensive!"
Chandler: "What is the point of having them if we never use them?"
Monica: "Ok, but if something gets broken, and then the Queen comes
over..."
Chandler: "I will explain it to her."
Monica:(laughing) "Oh yeah, like I'm going to let you talk to the
Queen."

Monica to Joey: "Listen...I need to know that what I'm about to ask you
will never get back to Chandler."
(Joey frowns...then looks as if he understands.)
Joey: "I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about it
myself...Chandler is my best friend...It would be wrong. Good. (He
winks.) ...But wrong."
Monica: "Ok first of all...It would be great. But that's not what I'm
here to talk to you about. I need to borrow some money."

Chandler: Rachel, when, uh... when you were going out with Ross, did it
bother you when he flirted with other women?
Rachel: Uh, no, no. It bothered me when he slept with other women.

Learn how to talk like a Friend

So you wanna speak like the Friends, only you can't remember all their
floopy terminology? Not to worry. It's so not hard. Just add a "y"
(pronounced "eee") at the end of the desired word, preferably a verb:
"What's with that flippy thing with your hair?" And if you're talking
about a person, add Guy or Girl to the description. For instance: "Talky

Guy asked Itchy Girl out on a date." Also, be sure to make liberal usage
of "not" and "so": "Do we not like them?" or "You are so going to
Minsk." Use "so" and "not" together in the same sentence and get a
double whammy: "That is so not true." Add emphasis to "not" and you've
got Chandler: "That is so not true!" To talk specifically like Chandler,
remember to put emphasis on a word that normally wouldn't be emphasized:

e.g. "Could that report be any later?" or "The hills are alive with the
sound of music."
Also, let all your innate smart assness come out and say exactly what's
on your mind, preferably with a smirk. Add a "shall we" at the end of
any sentence and you've become Monica: "Let's analyze this, shall we?"
If Ross is your speech God, just enunciate everything very clearly and
make use of archaic terms: "I want to woo her." Sprinkle in plenty of
non sequitors to be more like Pheebs. And if you wanna talk like Joey,
be sure to state the obvious and then add, "If you know what I mean," at
the end of the thought. Friendspeak is so not hard, if you know what I
mean.
So let's all try it, shall we?

Friends Fan Of The Week

Name: Marta Boutchma

Age: 14

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Q: When did you start watching Friends?
A: I don't remember exactly when I started watching Friends but I
remember my very first episode. It was "The One With The Kips."

Q: Why do you like Friends?
A: I like Friends because it's such a funny show. It has such great
storylines. And it never gets boring, you can watch the same episode
over and over and over. It's like an escape from anything bad happening
in your life. Every time I'm in a bad mood I can take out my DVD's,
magazines, or just print pictures and stick them on my door and
already I feel much better. Q: Who's your Fave Friend?
A: I've been asked this question so many times, each time it's just as
difficult to choose! I think there's a tie between Monica and Chandler.
Monica's obsession with winning and cleaning are so extreme, it's funny,
and I love Chandlers sarcasm. I like how he has something funny to say
about everything.

Q: Fave Episode?
A: I have trouble choosing my favorite episode. I like all the episodes
they're all funny and they never get old. I must have seen most of them
at least 15 times. I think my all time favorites are "TOW Ross' Wedding
Parts 1 and 2," "TOW the Kips," "TOW Everybody Finds Out," "TOW All The
Thanksgivings," "TOW the Truth About London," "TOW in Vegas parts 1 and
2," "TOW the Proposal parts 1 and 2," "TOW Monica and Chandler Wedding
parts 1 and 2," "TOW the Halloween Party," "TOW Rachel has a Baby parts
1 and 2," "TOW in Barbados parts 1 and 2," and the series finale.

Q: How obsessed are you?
A: I have seasons 1, 2, 4, and 5 on DVD and soon to be getting the rest
of the seasons. I have a door almost completely filled with pictures
of Friends scenes, cast and crew, I have autographed pictures of
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, and Joey LeBlanc framed in my
room. I have 2 magazines all about Friends. I annoy my family and
friends constantly talking about Friends. I can relate almost anything
you tell me someway into Friends. I have the full theme song on my
computer, and I know the whole song by heart. I'm planning to go to the
WB museum just to see the set of Friends. I have a friend and everyday
we talk about friends while we wait for the bus. All we ever talk about
is Friends.

Q: Friends related fact:
A: When I heard Friends was going to end I didn't believe it, I didn't
want to believe it. I remember it was the day before my birthday and I
was watching TV and the commercial came on, saying it was the last year.
I started crying, it was the first time I realized it was really
over. Then May 6th came... I was on the phone with my friend during the
clips and we were both sobbing and I remember half expecting them to say
it was all a joke and laugh at us.

Q: Have you been to a taping or met a Friend?
A: Unfortunately no, but I have had creepy dreams where I have met the
cast of Friends.
