F*R*I*E*N*D*S NEWSLETTERS
http://come.to/FriendsNews
Hello, we’re back from our long break, because there's a lot of Friends
news lately.
News
Matthew Perry is nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Performance by
an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television
category for his performance in “The Ron Clark Story” (2006) (TV).
Unfortunately he wasn’t nominated for his witty role in Studio 60, but
his costar Sarah Paulson is. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip airs Mondays
on NBC. I hope you're watching it!
Courteney Cox Arquette meanwhile will be on a new show too and not just
behind the scenes producing either. She plays Lucy Spiller in the new FX
show “Dirt,” which premieres in the States on Jan. 2nd and will air
Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on the FX channel. Her character runs a tabloid
in Hollywood and appears quite ruthless, similar to her Gale Weathers
character in “Scream.” There’s a billboard for the show with Courteney
in a bright red dress that I pass each day on my way to work, making me
even more excited for the premiere. Check out the website for wallpapers
for your desktop and mobile: http://fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/dirt/
In my Friends news, I saw the actor who played Joey’s doctor on the show
when he had kidney stones and Phoebe was having triplets, while I was
traveling at LAX airport. I also saw Joey’s wacky neighbor, Ben Falcone,
from his series “Joey” perform at the Groundlings Theater (the same
improve troupe that Lisa Kudrow started her career with).
Not sure what to do with your holiday money that your grandma gave you?
Buy Friends stuff of course! I just got the poster that’s in Monica’s
apartment framed for Christmas.

Vaughn and Aniston Confirm Real Break Up
(WENN)
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have decided to part ways, following
weeks of speculation the couple's relationship was on the rocks. The
couple began dating in June 2005 during the making of hit comedy The
Break Up, and despite refusing to go public with their relationship, it
was alleged the pair were planning to wed. However, there have been
rumors in recent weeks that their relationship was cooling off. Vaughn,
36, has been filming Fred Claus in London since late September, while
Aniston, 37, has been busy filming in Los Angeles and New York City. In
October Vaughn threatened to sue several tabloid newspapers after it was
alleged he was seen kissing a mystery blonde in the British capital. The
pair's representative Stephen Huvane and John Pisani told People
magazine, "After Jennifer's trip to London several weeks ago, Jennifer
and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship, but continue to be
good friends today."
Jennifer Makes Hollywood Earners List
(WENN)
The Hours Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is Hollywood's leading lady when it
comes to her salary, according to trade magazine The Hollywood
Reporter's annual Star Salary Top 10. The Cold Mountain actress has
claimed the top spot on the new list thanks mainly to the paycheck
she'll receive for next year's sci-fi blockbuster The Invasion. Six of
the top 10 women on the list are Oscar winners, with only Charlie's
Angels stars Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, Kirsten Dunst and Jennifer
Aniston yet to pick up an Academy Award. The new top 10 list is: 1.
Nicole Kidman ($16 to $17 million per film); 2. Reese Witherspoon ($15
million); 3. Renee Zellweger ($15 million); 4. Drew Barrymore ($15
million); 5. Cameron Diaz ($15 million); 6. Halle Berry ($14 million);
7. Charlize Theron ($10 million); 8. Angelina Jolie ($10 million); 9.
Kirsten Dunst ($8 to $10 million); 10. Jennifer Aniston ($8 million).
Cox Says She "Would Not Be Opposed To" a 'Friends' Reunion
(StudioBriefing)
Courteney Cox appeared to reignite talk of a possible Friends reunion
special in an interview on the syndicated Access Hollywood magazine
show. Profiled in connection with the launch of her new series Dirt on
the FX network beginning Jan. 2, Cox said that she "would not be opposed
to" a Friends special. However, she added, "Let's not make a big deal
out of it and say, 'The friends are getting back together.' I'm just
saying I'm not opposed to it. It's a lot of different people to get into
the room ... so the chances of it happening is so slim. But would
Jennifer [Aniston} and I? Sure."

Holiday Friends Quotes
"We're talking about innocent trees cut down in their prime, and then
their corpses grotesquely dressed up with tinsel and twinkly lights."
(Phoebe commenting on Christmas trees)
---------
CHANDLER: "I'd like to propose a toast. Little toast here (ding ding). I
know this isn't the kind of Thanksgiving that all of you all planned,
but for me, this has been really great, you know, I think because it
didn't involve divorce or projectile vomiting. Anyway, I was just
thinking, I mean, if you'd gone to Vail, and if you guys'd been with
your family, if you didn't have syphilis and stuff, we wouldn't be all
together, you know? So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm very
thankful that all of your Thanksgivings sucked."
ALL: "That's so sweet."
ROSS: "And hey, here's to a lousy Christmas."
RACHEL: "And a crappy New Year."
(From TOW Underdog Gets Away)
--
JOEY: "I can't believe it's Christmas already. Ya know, I mean, one day
your eatin' turkey, the next thing ya know, your lords are a-leapin' and
you geese are a-layin'."
CHANDLER: "Which is why geese are so relaxed this time of year."
--
CHANDLER: "Ya know I remember my father, all dressed up in the red suit,
the big black boots, and the patent leather belt, sneakin around
downstairs. He didn't want anybody to see him but he'd be drunk so he'd
stumble, crash into something and wake everybody up."
RACHEL: "Well, that doesn't sound like a very merry Christmas."
CHANDLER: "Who said anything about Christmas?"
--
CHANDLER: "Ho, ho, ho, holy crap is it hot in here!"
--
Phoebe: "Happy Holidays. Feliz Navidad. Allo, and Merry Christmas."
--

How was I supposed to know that my mom was dead in the kitchen

"Holiday Song"
Went to the store, sat on Santa's lap
Asked him to bring my friends all kinds of crap
Said all you need is to write them a song
Now you haven't heard it yet so don't try to sing along
No don't sing along
Monica, Monica, have a happy Hanukkah
Saw Santa Claus, he said hello to Ross
And please tell Joey, Christmas will be snowwwwwy
And Rachel and Chandler, (mumbles something) handler!
Ross: I'm the holiday armadillo! I'm a friend of Santa's and he sent me
here to wish you (Points to Ben) a Merry Christmas!
Monica: What happened to Santa, Holiday Armadillo?
Ross: (to Monica) Santa was unavailable so close to Christmas.
Monica: Wow, come in, have a seat. You must be exhausted coming all the
way from... Texas.
Ben: Texas?
Ross: That's right, Ben. I'm Santa's representative for all the southern
states. And Mexico! But, Santa sent me here to give you these presents,
Ben. (He tries to bend down to pick up the bag with the presents, but
can't because of the costume) Maybe the Lady will help me with these
presents.
Chandler: "Let me ask you, why is everybody using these tiny lights
nowadays? I remember when people used to use big lights."
Rachel: "That's a good story, Grandpa."
PHOEBE: "Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. Ugly Naked Guy is decorating his tree.
Oh my God, you should see the size of his Christmas Balls."

RACHEL: "Wiper blades. I don't even have a car."
JOEY: "No, but with this new car smell, you'll think you do."

apartment with the dead trees, making Phoebe very happy that the trees
got to live out their dreams of being Christmas trees.
Phoebe: "You saved them! You guys! Oh God, you're the best!" Chandler:
"It's like 'Night of the Living Dead Christmas Trees.'"
Season 4-
Rachel is annoyed that she will be alone over the holiday, so Chandler
tries to set her up. Phoebe is working on making an Xmas song for
everyone.
Phoebe: (singing) "Happy Chanukah, Monica! May your Christmas be snowy,
Joey! Happy New Year, Chandler and Ross. Spin the draddle, Rachel!"
Rachel: "Pheebs, that's great!"

The opening scene is great, at a New Years party in Monica and Rachel's
apt, Chandler and Monica who were still hiding their relationship wanted

Chandler kiss, and having Ross and Phoebe and Rachel with Joey. They

haven't done before."
Rachel- Gossip less.
Chandler- No more wise cracks and making fun of his friends for a full

Monica and Ross try to appear on TV during Dick Clark's Rockin Eve
special. Joey's then roommate and dancer girl, Janine, got them on it.
This was a childhood dream of theirs and they have a weird rehearsed
dance from when they were kids.
Monica: "Hold it! Are you talking about Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking
Eve?"
Janine: "Yeah, that's what I said."
Monica: "Oh my God! We love that show! I mean Ross and I have been
watching it since I can remember!" Meanwhile Chandler, Rachel and Phoebe

introduce his kid to Chanukah -- but the festival of lights pales when a
wide-eyed Ben is all about Christmas carols, Rudolph the Red-Nosed
Reindeer and especially, Santa Claus. So Ross tries to find a Santa
outfit, but considering it is almost Christmas he has to settle for a
Armadillo costume. Meanwhile Chandler being a pal finds a Santa outfit
and dresses up while Joey dresses up as Superman for no real reason.
Rachel: (seeing the collection of characters.) "Wow! It looks like the
Easter Bunny's funeral in here."

When Chandler has to spend Christmas working on a deadline project in
Tulsa, Monica suspects the worst when she discovers that he will be
working with a beautiful co-worker (guest star Selma Blair, "Legally

toiling in Tulsa, Chandler recalls some of the more embarrassing moments
