Hi Ron:
Ghost Chat New England: History, Mystery, Legends and Ghosts (C)
Television show airing out of CT now has 11 episodes uploaded onto our
website.:) www.freewebs.com/ghostlady40 .
Included are segments of haunted locations throughout CT, Rhode Island,
Virginia and Washington DC. The viewer can take a look at these
locations and hear the ghost stories associated with the locations; many
of which are in your book Haunted Places.
Evidence in the form of EVP, documentation and photos of our
Interdimensioal Investigations (C) are still being compiled for future
shows. This is a very time consuming process but will be available in
the future so please stay tuned.:) Thank you

A producer is needed to fill a vacancy on the "Exploring Unexplained
Phenomena" ("E.U.P.") radio program staff. Have you been a long-time
listener and think you'd like to hang out with some interesting people?
Have you recently found the program and think that assisting the
"E.U.P." program would be fun and stimulating?
What is the "Exploring Unexplained Phenomena" radio program?
The "E.U.P." radio program has been on-air since October of 1984, making
it one of the world's longest-running paranormal talk radio programs.
Each week we call guests from around the world and share their interest,
research and passion with the listening audience via the KZUM 89.3 FM
signal, and worldwide over www.kzum.org . Additionally the radio
program is archived and available free of charge within 24 hours of the
broadcast at www.friends-of-EUP.mypodcasts.net .
The program is hosted by Scott H. Colborn.
The producers and staff are coordinated by Cathy Behrns, who also
co-hosts periodically during the month.
What does a producer do?
A producer for the "E.U.P." radio program:
Initiates the phone calls or receives the phone calls from people who
appear via the telephone during segments of the program,
Facilitates greeting an in-studio guest and making sure they are in the
broadcast studio, ready to do their segment at the appointed time,
Makes the phone call to the guest using a furnished pre-paid phone
calling card, and brings the guest on-air,
Screens and handles the listener calls during the program,
Assists in keeping the producer/staff three-ring book in proper order,
and doing the paperwork each week with regard to the pre-paid calling
cards, and filing the guest contact info in the book,
Has input in suggesting future guests and program content to the host,
Can elect to join the host on-air during the program and interact with
the guest (not required but optional if the producer wishes to do so),
Has a sense of humor,
Has an interest in the mysteries of our time,
Is interested in being part of a team of unique and talented people,
Is or will become a member of KZUM 89.3 FM Lincoln, NE (minimum dues are
$25 per year),
Has transportation and can get to KZUM's studios, located in the
Terminal Building, 941 "O" St, Suite 1025,
Is responsible and says what they are going to do and then does what
they say.
Am I there at the KZUM studio each week?
No. Probably once a month; maybe twice a month. This is a volunteer
position. The producers are coordinated by Cathy Behrns, and a sign-up
list is used to put one's name down in advance for the next 3 months of
Saturday mornings.
As a round-robin team, theoretically each producer might end up
producing one program a month. As summer vacation schedules take place,
or because of illness or inability to produce the program on a
particular date, a producer might be called upon to do several dates per
month.
The "show must go on," even with inclement weather. If you are not able
to get to the KZUM broadcast studio's (rain, snow, sun, etc), or can't
keep your commitments, then please do not sign up for this position.
During Nebraska football Saturdays, parking is at a premium and you
should be prepared to find parking in advance, or, to arrange to be
dropped off and picked up, or, pay the premium parking fee.
How do I know what to do as a producer?
Don't worry - we'll train you and also offer additional training through
KZUM 89.3 FM, Lincoln, NE. Perhaps this will be a springboard towards
hosting your own radio program! If you want to interact with the
"E.U.P." radio program guest and the host live on-air - you can, but no
one will force you to do so. Should you wish to work behind the scenes
and not go on-air, you may. At this time we are in need of one or two
additional producers for the program.

Video Camera

Each SPIRITS investigation brings results, but these results always seem
to bring new questions. For this investigation, we explore the
viability and usefulness of video cameras. Though they help to
accurately record events of an investigation in a real-time fashion,
enigmatic images can also turn up that raise more questions than they
solve.
The SPIRITS were contacted through a desperate phone call from the
homeowners. They reported psychokinetic activity, shadow figures,
running water, and cabinets that opened by themselves. The phenomena
started months before but had increased in the weeks leading up to the
investigation. The activity was attributed to a recent death in the
family, and the family itself was undergoing transition as members moved
in and out of the area.
One member brought a video camera and set it in one of the rooms to
record. The video camera was untouched and left to record in this room
throughout the investigation.
Upon review, part of the video showed a reflection seemingly created by
an opening door. A shadow stretched across the light reflection, and
then retreated; the image disappeared. What was this image? No strong
conclusion emerged. Some SPIRITS members felt that the phenomena could
be naturally produced, others disagreed. The possibilities that we
examined:

One SPIRITS member opened the back door of the house to look for power
boxes or other phenomena that might create false EMF readings. She
believed that the image was produced when she opened the door.
The counter-argument is that the SPIRITS members’ voices can be heard on
the video as they moved about at the other end of the house. Discussion
is heard about opening the door to go outside 7 minutes before the image
appeared.
Family members: The family members waited outside the home while the
SPIRITS investigated. All doors to the outside had chimes attached to
them as part of a security system and no chimes were recorded on the
soundtrack.
Camera flashes: Though the camera did pick up camera flashes it did not
pick up any activity from the SPIRITS’ photographs that were out of the
area. Camera flashes recorded on the tape were short in duration. This
image lasted considerably longer. Camera flashes produced a whiter color
than this mysterious image.
Awkward angle: The way the light from the back door, or from any
external doors, would have to move to produce this image is very odd.
Each member had a personal conclusion about the image and since this
particular investigation no similar images have been produced. However,
only when the natural phenomena are ruled out can something be deemed
“supernatural.” However, it does go to show that one of the most
valuable tools in paranormal investigation remains the inquisitive
skeptical mind.

I moved into this house about 5 years ago. It was about 5 years old
atthe time. The couple I bought it from was young and upwardly mobile,
so you can see this is not your typical century old mansion.
The house is, however situated on Indian grounds about 2 miles from a
state parkcommemorating the tribe and that could be the reason for the
strange visitor that wakes me up from a sound sleep by taking hold of my
foot.
This unnerving experience happens quite frequently, about every night in
fact, and he seems to be getting bolder. He started out just shaking the
bed and I'm wondering how much bolder he can get.
