Henrys in Thailand Update - 20 Sept
2007
Dear supporters and other friends,
Our daily radio program continues, and we are seeing people saved almost
every week lately. Last Sunday 3 boys, ages 10, 11 and 12, received
the Lord.
Emergence pray needed! Back on the 3rd of September I wrote you
about a piece of land and a house that a long time member of our work in
the City of the Chief Dragon has up for sale. Mrs. Urai wants
300,000.00 Baht (about $8950.00) for her property. This is a very
low price! She holds the title to it, but it is about to have a
lien placed on it for a 45,000 Baht ($1345.00) lone that is over
due. Mrs. Urai really wants us to have the property and in reality
it will be a gift of several thousand dollars from her at this
price. As you may remember that I have been asking for help
regarding the purchase of a facility to use for our Bible Institute and
radio recording studio for several years now. This would be
perfect, but I just do not have the funds. We live and operate on a
very meager budget from month to month, and I am still a few thousand
dollars debt. Therefore, I will not commit myself to more
debt. But if we could quickly get $1500.00 to pay off Mrs. Urai's
debt, she will turn the deed over to us, but, even at that, I still do
not want to commit myself since there has never been any response
concerning the need for a permanent facility. However, if we could
get a substantial amount of faith promises from the churches, say for
around $6000.00, we could move forward on it. So once again, please
pray about the issue of a permanent facility for our work. There is
plenty of room for our Bible Institute and radio recording studio, and we
can construct a meeting place on the property also. But time is of
the essence. Mrs. Urai's creditors are closing in. I will try
to get some pictures of the property on the Internet soon. Pray,
and if the Lord lays it on your heart to help, please do not delay!
I need to hear from you soon.
"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have
free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you." (2 Thess
3:1) "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in
the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication
for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I
may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel."
(Eph 6:18-19)
In Christ's Service,
John Henry
