Dear Praying friends,
Please pray for new support in order to add a new radio station along the
Laotian boarder.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is,
when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and
they that hear shall live." (John 5:25) "For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man
should boast." (Eph. 2:8-9) "So then faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (Rom.
10:17)
April 2008 marks our 6th adversary of daily
broadcasting into the Communist country of Laos and this area of
Northeast Thailand. From 2002 to 2005 we were on a powerful station
the signal of which carried into 4 provincial capitols here in Thailand
and also covered Vientiane, the Capitol of Laos, and reached deep into
that closed field. Back then we had a potential listening audience of
about three million souls. However, in 2005 we had to make cutbacks
due to financial considerations. Since then we have been on a less
powerful station. We still cover the Laotian Capitol, and reach all of
Muang District of Nong Khai where we broadcast from. These areas have a
potential listening audience of more than 342,000 souls.
Our daily programs are unlike the few Christian programs here in Thailand
that are filled with contemporary music, small talk and have little
Gospel content. We teach the Word of God, the blood and resurrection of
Christ, and Hell hot and Heaven sweet. We teach the need to receive
Christ through repentance and faith. Our main goal is salvation of souls
and secondly strengthen believers that listen.
Now a radio station, one located in the rural area where the
majority of our members live, has come available. Most of our
members live along the Mekong River about 40 to 50 kilometers to the
northeast of where we live us here the Provincial Capitol of Nong
Khai. This station has a potential listening
audience of more than 132,000 souls on the Thai side of the boarder in
Phon
Phisai and
Rattanawapi districts alone, and it does reach other districts
of Nong Khai Province. It is adjacent to the
Bolikhamsai Province of Laos, where many there can also hear this
station.
The station has a 1 hour, 3 PM, slot available for 3000 Baht which a
little less than $100.00 right now. If you share our burden to
reach Thai and Laotian souls and are able to help us with this new
station then please let me know. We are not able to take this new
station on without $100.00 a month new support. If 3 or 4 new
churches would take us on for support we could move forward with
this. Perhaps some of the churches we presented the field to in
2005/2006 might feel led to help. Please pray about it.
