PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Job Description
The Hispanic Federation seeks a Program Coordinator to work on its NYS
public health insurance enrollment programs. The Program Coordinator
will report to the Director of Health Programs and support other
Federation health projects and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Control Office/ Program Coordinator will be responsible for:

* Enrolling eligible individuals in NYS public health insurance programs

* Conducting quality assurance on all NYS health insurance applications
and renewals submitted by subcontracting agencies
* Performing data entry of applications into HRA's, SDOH and Hispanic
Federation's tracking systems
* Preparing all revised and completed applications according to protocol
and submit them to HRA or the heath plans on assigned days
* Assisting individuals in person or by phone with health-related
questions
* Performing appropriate follow-ups on cases that require a correction
or revision
* Working closely with the different health plans to ensure smooth
enrollment process
* Assisting the Program Director to maintain up-to-date files and
contacts
* Generating correspondence for subcontracting agencies, health plans
and clients
* Assisting Program Director in the coordination of health events such
as health fairs, workshops, luncheons and other community events

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bilingual (English/Spanish)
* BA degree required
* Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer systems
* Must be organized and have strong attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to and work
productively with diverse individuals of various ages
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work outside of regular business hours including weekend
hours.
* Proficiency with computer databases.
* Proven ability to take ownership and initiative at work.
PLUS: Knowledge of the Facilitated Enrollment Program of New York,
particularly Medicaid and Family Health Plus
