This documentary, which focuses on the controversial death-in-custody of
an Afghan taxi driver, examines US policy on torture and interrogation
in general, and specifically examines the CIA's use of torture and its
research into sensory deprivation. Nominated for an Academy Award in
2007, Taxi to the Dark Side takes a look at political and military
establishment views on torture and goes on to discuss the increasing
presence of depictions of torture techniques in popular media.
