INDIGENOUS AWAKENING is a newslist aimed at informing and educating Native people. We need to "awaken the sleeping lion" within the Indigenous population of the Americas. No longer can we allow non-Indian governments and belief systems to dictate our ideology or actions. We are not Canadian, American, Mexican, Peruvian, etc. - we are Lakota, we are Mayan, etc.. Be proud of who you really are!
To keep postings from flooding members' email, I've arranged it so that only I can post messages in this list. However, that does not mean that I don't want feed-back. Also, I would like to see a venue for everyone to express their views on relevant issues. Due to the rampant paranoia of the colonizing terrorists, I have had constant difficulties with email, my websites, & even this list for several months. Even if they totally shut me out of the world wide web though, I'll still keep on doing my thing!
