convocatoria para llenar dos vacantes de estudiantes de posgrado en

Two Assistantships in Entomology
PLANT SOIL AND ENTOMOLOGICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO
Graduate Research Assistantships for Ph.D. students are available for
two multidisciplinary research projects focused on vector-virus-host
interactions in the potato crop. The selected students will explore
the effects of interactions between aphid vectors, viruses and host
plants and their effects on disease epidemiology.
Both projects will involve field, greenhouse and laboratory research
focused on developing more effective and economically sound
virus-aphid management practices in potatoes. One project will focus
on Potato Leafroll Virus (PLRV) management and the second one on
Potato Virus Y (PVY).
Requirements: Science background with emphasis in agriculture,
entomology, or virology. Superior scholarship and communication skills
and basic knowledge of molecular biology are desired.
Applicants must meet requirements of the PSES
(http://agweb.ag.uidaho.edu/pses/) and the Graduate School
(http://www.uidaho.edu/cogs/) for acceptance to the degree program in
entomology.
