I have two Magnum

350 Canister filters on the tank which are primarily used for
circulation however yesterday I had an accident. One of the hoses came
loose and started pumping water into the stand and on the floor. I have
wood floor so this is a very costly proposition should it have happened
while I was not available to fix it right away.
Can I take them off with no ill effects?
If I switch out my 3 small powerheads for 2Rio 2500s (692 gph) will that
overpower my 75 US gal tank (283 liters)?
That will leave me with the 2 skimmers and 2 powerheads only (along with
rock and sand).
