Samuel Walters d.1805  Kristi Sircy

I am a decendant of Samuel Walters who died in Jessamine County Kentucky
in 1805. I have a copy of his will which lists his wife Sarah/Salley as
well as his children Luke L Walters (married Avarilla Lamb), Elizabeth
Walters (married Thomas Edwards),Mary "Polly" Walters (married Joel
Organ), Sampson Walters, John Walters, and Francis Walters. Luke (b.18
Feb. 1800 d.24 Mar 1865)Francis (b.12 Jul 1798 d.06 Apr 1877) and Samuel
(no b. or d. dates for him) all came to Sullivan County Indiana in the
1830's. According to a cousin of mine, there is a will for a John
Walters (brought to court in 1800) which names Samuel in it, as well as
a Thomas and Robert. It is supposed that these boys are the sons of
John, but I haven't been able to obtain a copy of John's will to make
sure. I think my Walters family originated out of Halifax Co. VA due to
a snippet from a book that links my Walters to James Overstreet and
Vintner Cobbs. If anyone can help me with some concrete sources or would
be able to send me a copy of John's will, I would be ever so grateful.
Thank you,
Kristi Walters Sircy
