Change of Race Director for the 2004 Eugene Celebration Cycling Classic

(Eugene, Oregon - 3/8/04) The 2004 Eugene Celebration Cycling Classic
(9/18-9/19) is in the planning process and building upon its success of
years past. However, for this yearıs event I will be stepping down as race
director. It has been a great pleasure to be race director for the past 5
years. I have enjoyed working with officials, volunteers and racers over the
past few years. Each year provided a new challenge for staff and racers, and
was exciting to see it all come together for a successful event. Thank you
all for supporting the event.

Taking my place as race director is Richard Sweet. He has some great
experience in bike race events (time trials, mtb races and road races). I
believe his enthusiasm for the event and energy will take this great event
to the next level. He is eager to start work on the event and is already in
the planning phases.

The event is starting to take shape and those interested in becoming
volunteers either on day of event or want to become committee members please
contact Steve Remington (Festival Director) or Richard Sweet. This is your
chance to become involved with a great community event that is a huge part
of the Eugene Celebration. Also anyone interested in sponsoring the event
please contact us.

Thanks for supporting this event.
