2005 Series Highlights:

Bike Racing at PIR Starts Up For The Summer!

Wish you could ever ride your bike on a car racetrack? Well, now you can!
The Lakeside Bicycles Monday Night Masters and Women race series starts
another exciting year of racing in May. The race series is in its 18th year
of running at Portland International raceway, and this yearıs summer series
is looking to be great!

Fast, fun and exciting racing for any ability, skill, and experience. New
racers (women or Masters 30+) are welcome and encouraged ­ just show up with
helmet and road bike ready to race. Novice category is for Women - Any
age/ability and Masters 30+. They are run separately. Mentors and
experienced racers will be available to answer questions. Come out and try
bike racing in a friendly, safe, and closed to traffic racecourse.

Distances vary each week depending on daylight/field sizes/weather, and will
be announced at start/registration. Course is flat, wide, 1.9-mile loop
closed to traffic, with excellent pavement. Race distances average: 20-30
miles (women's race), 30- 55 miles (master's cat. 1/2/3/4), 10-15 miles
(novice masterıs and womenıs)

Bike commute, carpool or take the Tri-Met Max to the race and receive $1 off
your entry. For every racer participating in this program, $1.00 is donated
to the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.

Where:
Portland International Raceway. From I-5 take exit #306B west.

When:
May 2nd ­ August 29 (expect: June 13th and July 4th + 25th) ­
May ­ 2, 9, 16, 23, 30;
June ­ 6, 20, 27;
July ­ 11, 18;
Aug ­ 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Registration:
Opens at 5pm. OBRA licenses available (single-day $5 or annual $15).

Registration located at start/finish area on the track in the middle of the
main grand stands.

Start Times:
Novice Masters 6:15 and Novice Women: 6:20, Women: 6:35, Masters Groups:
6:45

Course/Distances:

Additional Information:
Helmets required, OBRA racing rules apply, and no aero bars allowed. Monthly
Women series will score (points) Novice, Cat 1,2,3; Cat 4,5; 35+ separately.

Commuters Discount:

Prizes:
Prizes are given monthly (awarded at end of each month) and points
accumulated weekly to each category. Thanks to Lakeside Bicycles prizes and
gift certificates.

Individual Pass Plan (non-transferable, no refunds after first race) - Get a
great deal on racing by purchasing a season pass for the series! The amazing
price of $145 gets you a season pass. That means you get to race for $9 a
race!
Passes can be purchased before the first race (highly recommended) by mail

available at www.orbike.com or at first race.

Team Season Pass Plan (Transferable) ­ Get your team together and get in on
a great deal on a package of races. Passes can be purchased before the first
race (highly recommended) by mail, or at registration at first race.

#1 ­ 50 races - $500, #2 ­ 75 races - $750, #3, 100 races - $1000, #4 - 125
races - $1250, #5 ­ 150 races - $1500, #6 ­ 200 races - $2000, #7 (A Good
Deal) ­ 250 races - $2250, #8 (The Best Deal) ­ 300 races - $2625

A La Carte Options (Teams Only) ­ Get to the August with no races left on
your pass? Donıt worry, now you can purchase limited races at same price
