One key is for responder to realize that he has a terrible hand. It's worth
only 9.85 using the CCCC algorithm. It's perhaps too strong for a single
raise but certainly not nearly strong enough to force to game. A KS Updated
auction might go something like this:

1H 1S
2D 2H
3S 4S

Why 3S? Isn't 2S already pretty strong? I'd expect 3S to show a
singleton club, though I don't see that in the notes.

 1H 1S
2D 2H
2S 3D
4S

This looks more plausible to me through 3D, but I don't see why 4S.
Responder could still have only four. I think 3H by opener is OK.

With the double fit and good diamonds, responder is worth game and even
the mild 3D slam try, but I don't see why opener (with a minimum for the
2D sequence) would ever be tempted to go above game. After opener bids
3H, responder has nothing extra and signs off in 4H. (If opener had a
much better hand, he could carry on.) Obviously I think 3D here should
be a game force. Why play in a minor when you have two playable major
suit fits? However, the notes seem vague.

If responder decides to force to game things could turn ugly:

Yep. Opposite _my_ 1H opening, responder shouldn't be even slightly
tempted, but opposite Kaplan's or Kay's....

(Adam's posts all came through fine for me on two different systems --
Windows XP and Solaris. It's weird that they didn't work for others.)
