Berkeley Council Passes Krug Winery Resolution

Hello.
Tuesday night, 12/18/2001, the City Council passed the Peace and
Justice Commission's resolution endorsing the boycott of Charles Krug
Winery and supporting the locked-out workers as part of the consent
calendar, after first removing the reference to contributing $100 to
the worker relief fund. (That appeared to be a deal-breaker, so I
didn't argue.)
Three Council members abstained from endorsing the resolution.
The resolution had been endorsed by the Berkeley Labor Commission.
