| Purpose: | Hi All, This was formerly a list for Black Rock City citizens in the L.A. / So. Cal area. It is no longer used for that purpose. For events listings and other unusual and perhaps interesting info, vist TwansList blog: http://www.twanslist.com This list the Awareness Network, mainly for political activism and awareness, the type of awareness that you will NOT get from the mainstream media, mainly where it affects self-expression and first amendment rights, though not exclusively. In light of the fact that the mainstream media does not tell the whole story in a truthful way, and in fact intentionally misinforms the masses, this list serves up links and info of an non-mainstream nature, just so people can be better informed so as to make well thought out choices and take action on them based on facts that aren't widely publicized. As of May 2007, nine years after the original creation of this list, it is now available on the Web in blog format with RSS feeds (if you prefer): http://www.awareness-network.com Though political in nature, it will not be dull, and it will pave the way for you to make your voice heard by providing links and easy avenues to communicate with your Senators and Representives in local, state, and federal politics. Please feel free to scroll to the top of this page and click the "Read This List" button to see the differnet types of information being served, starting with the messages dated from 2004. Everything before this year is from a time when the list was used for other purposes. Do not be fooled. You make the difference! "They" love your indiffernce. Thrive on it, in fact. It allows them to do as they wish simply because they know you will not be participating in the political process. Simple action is required on your part. It need not be time consuming or laborious. The Awareness Network team will make it easy to participate in the political process. You just need to be pro-active! Participate and watch the world change. Silence is the killer. Don't!
