2. Libertarian Party of Indiana elects Sam Goldstein as chair

On Saturday May 16, the membership of the Libertarian Party of Indiana
unanimously elected local champion of liberty Sam Goldstein as their new
state chairman.

Sam Goldstein has a long career of service within the Libertarian Party.
He has served as both the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party
of Marion County, and the Vice-Chair and Membership Director of the
Libertarian Party of Indiana. He has also been a Libertarian candidate
for Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, State Treasurer, and
State Representative District 86. He has run as a candidate for the
Indianapolis-Marion County Council. He also has served the Libertarian
Party at the national level on both the LP Platform and By-Laws
Committees.

"I am looking forward to serving the LPIN over the next two years as
chair," said Goldstein. "Our state and country face a crucial period in
our history due to the failure of the old political parties to follow
the Indiana and Federal constitutions. The LPIN is the only political
party in the state that will work tirelessly to reduce the size and
scope of government at every level. We look forward to the 2010
elections as an opportunity to challenge every incumbent in the General
Assembly with a Libertarian opponent."

Other elected state officers include:
Vice Chair: Dan Drexler (LaPorte County)
Treasurer: Dale Wedel (Hendricks County)
Secretary: John Schick (Porter County)

3. Next Indy Libertarian Meetup is May 27
